Primary education is the ideal stage of schooling, the period in which the intellect of a child acquires the structure that will determine all future intellectual work.
At our school, the students are the protagonists of their own learning within a healthy and orderly environment, with firm yet flexible rules that allow them to naturally experience the joy of learning each day.
Catalan, Spanish and English constitute the basic instruments with which all schoolwork is carried out, and a good command of these languages is essential to good thinking skills. The same is true for mathematics, a fundamental tool for structuring rational thinking. At our school we provide a greater number of hours than the legislation dictates to the teaching of these disciplines with the aim of enabling our students to become trilingual. We rely on specific, objective evaluation tools to monitor the progress of each of our students in these subjects.
English is taught by immersion with highly qualified teachers and is incorporated as a vehicular language in the study of other subjects such as History and “Projects”.
A second foreign language, French, completes this area of learning. Opening our students' eyes to the world and bringing out their curiosity allows them to develop through knowledge of natural and social environments. We devote special attention to sensory learning through artistic and musical expression.
In all subjects, we foster good work and study habits during daily activities.
